Vernell was a very thoughtful person. Whether it be remembering a small detail from a previous conversation, a small gesture to brighten their day or a phone call to check in, Vernell was always thinking of others and doing whatever she could to bring a smile to their face. Those who were lucky enough to know her consider themselves blessed to have had such a thoughtful person in their lives.
You could find Vernell baking or making soup for her family, knitting or quilting, cheering on the home team at community sporting events or in her backyard growing all her beautiful flowers. She was always there to babysit, host a birthday party with a money cake, watch you as you went sledding at the hill across from her house or make you a “nest” when you were sick. She was always able to make you feel her love without having to say I love you. Her family will always remember how she made them feel but are comforted by all the memories they will cherish in their hearts.
The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Semelhago, Dr. Calarco and the caring nurses at the Palmerston and District Hospital.
There is a special person, Who is patient, kind and true, No one else in all the world, Will be the same as you, For all her loving kindness, She asks nothing in return, As we look upon her picture, Sweet memories we recall, Of a face so full of sunshine, And a smile for one and all, So please take this message, To our loved one up above, Tell her how we miss her, And give her all our love.
