of Elora passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Friday, February 5, 2016 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Betty (Mansfield) Boyd for 42 years. Dear father of Denise Boyd-Dunlop and Daniel Dunlop of Elora, Suzanne and Garrett Small of Fergus and Megan and Dan Palubiski of Salem. Cherished grandfather of 3 granddaughters: Madeleine, Amelia and Hailey. Brother of Margaret Cowen of Cambridge. Brother-in-law of Anne Boyd of Fergus, Carl and Judy Mansfield of Minesing, Linda Mansfield of Lynden, Jean Mansfield of Fergus and Mary Ann Mansfield of Mapleton Township. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his two brothers Roy and Ed Boyd, brothers-in-law Garry and John Mansfield and Don Cowen.
The family will receive family and friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Roman Catholic Church, Arthur on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment in St. John Cemetery Arthur . As expressions of sympathy donations to Heart and Stroke Research, Groves Memorial Hospital or St. John Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
Parish prayers will be recited in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 2 pm.
