James Melvin Taylor Somerville
passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Florence (Woodley) Somerville for 61 years. Dear father of Mark Somerville of Ingersoll, Gayle and Larry Lannin of Fordwich, Cindy and Peter Van De Gevel of Ayton and Grant and Joanne Somerville of Palmerston. Cherished grandpa (Bubba) of Tonya (Shawn), Adam, Christina (Seth), Krystal, Duane, Joe (Mary Anne), Anna (Brad), Jason (Robin), Chad (Amy Grace), Michael, Anthony (Stephanie), Amber and his 14 great grandchildren. Also missed by his brother Frank (Phyllis) Somerville of Listowel. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and by Barb, Denise and Sheldon. Predeceased by his parents, three brothers and three sisters-in-law. At James request there will be no period of visitation, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held followed by interment in Elma Centre Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Listowel Memorial Hospital or the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston.
