Lloyd Emerson Soden
of Palmerston passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Elliott) Soden (2006) for 61 years. Dear father of Gordon Soden and Bernice Sockett of Palmerston, Ona Turnbull and her husband Bruce of Listowel. Loving grandfather of Lorrie Alexander and her husband Darren of Dorchester and Linda Simmons and Louis Drost of R.R. # 1 Palmerston. Fondly remembered by his great grandchildren Clinton Alexander and Michelle Alexander; Mathew Simmons and Donna Simmons. Predeceased by his parents Emerson and Gertrude (Brimblecomb) Soden step mother Lily (Baker) Soden, sister Myrtle Crosby and grandson-in-law Ken Simmons.
The family will receive friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston, on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Pastor Ralph Dwarika will conduct the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Palmerston Cemetery In lieu of flowers donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or Palmerston United Church would be appreciated by the family.
