Jean Sothern (nee Vittie)
of Fordwich passed away peacefully at the Livingston Manor, Listowel on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Bill Sothern (1999). Loving mother of Nancy and Bill Mulvey of Belmore and Gary and Sharon Sothern of Palmerston. Cherished grandmother of Jeff and Carol Mulvey of Ancaster, Cindy and Paul DeVries of Fordwich; Tim and Teresa Sothern of Waterloo and Tracy and Rob McLennan of Guelph. Beloved great grandmother of Grant Mulvey, Scott Mulvey, Karissa DeVries (Jordan), Craig DeVries, Rachel, Joel and Lindsay Sothern, Madeline and Natalie McLennan. Sister of Joan and Carl Stewart of Fordwich. Sister-in-law of Arnetta Sothern of Harriston and Dorothy Hartman of Listowel. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.Predeceased by great grandson Adam Sothern in infancy.
The family will receive friends at Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Palmerston on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment Fordwich Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Listowel Memorial Hospital, Howick Legion Branch 307 or Livingston Manor Residence Council would be appreciated by the family.
