January 20, 1940 – March 20, 2023
of Drayton surrounded by the love of many of those whom he loved so well in his life. Walter was welcomed into the arms of his Saviour on Monday March, 20, 2023 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Hennie (Logtenberg) for 62 years. Much loved father of Ann and Bill Kabbes of Arthur, John and Mari-Anne Tinholt of Moorefield, Susan and Paul McArthur of Walkerton, Debbie and Richard Rae of Clifford, and the late Johnnie in infancy. Loving grandfather and great grandfather of Dan and Amanda Kabbes, Tyler, Makayla, Nathaniel and Ellanna, Andrew and Kimberly Kabbes, Anna, Axel, Samantha and Eve, Mark and Megan Kabbes, Matteo, Jaxson, Grace and Quinn, Paul and Jennifer Kabbes, Linkyn, Emmalyn, Lucia, Elias and Malakai; Mike Tinholt, Jenessa and Eric Van Schip, Clark, Alaina and Roman, Brandon and Monica Valenta and Kinsley; Matt McArthur, Patrick McArthur (Simi), Hannah McArthur; David and Jessie Rae, Hailey and Emily, Lisa Rae and fiancé Rob Garcia, Rob Rae (Bryce), Joanne Rae (Jacob).
Brother and brother-in-law of Arthur John Tinholt, Adriana and Gordon Klaassen, Wilma Tinholt, Jeanne Tinholt, Josie Tinholt, Eddie Dyksterhuis, Rinnie Lowe and Debi Forhan. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and everyone who had the privilege of meeting him.
The family will receive friends at the Drayton Reformed Church, 74 Wellington Street, South on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Private family interment in Drayton Cemetery. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held in the Drayton Reformed Church, on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Men for Mission Haiti or Camp Shalom would be appreciated by the family.
