With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved patriarch Arthur De Graaf,  on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at home in Holland Christian Homes,  Brampton, in his 94th year.  Arthur was the cherished husband of Anneliese De Graaf and, for 56 years, the late Wilhelmina De Graaf (2016). He was the wonderful father to Wilma De Graaf (Stuart) of Toronto, Linda De Vries (George) of Palmerston, and Gerald Arno De Graaf  (Donna) of Guelph.  He was the loving Opa to Rebecca De Vries, Danielle Schieck (Curtis), Peter De Vries (Rebecca), Rudy De Vries (Leanne), Sarah De Vries (Sheldon), Grace De Vries (Jeff),  Hannah De Vries and Ethan van Eck. .  He was the proud Great Opa of five – Nora, Christopher, Isabelle, Paula and Cade.

Art is survived by his sister Alida Schreuder of the Netherlands.  He is is fondly remembered by his cousin Johan De Graaf of Enschede, the Netherlands, his many nieces, nephews and friends, and his second family – Anneliese’s children Derek Walsh (Astrid),  Karen Homann (Gord), and Sheila Slater (Todd), and grandchildren Lauren (Jay) and Kurt.

We are comforted by Arthur’s strong faith in our Lord and Saviour, and know that he is now safe in the arms of Jesus.
