Gerald Reuben Hartung,
of Palmerston passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, May 12, 2016 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Lorraine (Long) Hartung for 63 years. Brother of the late Mildred and Harvey Hammond, the late Dorothy and Ted Rieck, the late Delton Hartung, John Hartung of Palmerston and the late Ardith Hartung, Laverne and Joyce Hartung of Aberfoyle, the late Ken Hartung and Inez Hartung of Guelph, the late Lyle Hartung and Joan Hartung of Palmerston, Wayne and Shirley Hartung of R.R. #1 Gowanstown, and David Hartung and his friend Lillian Henry of Palmerston. Brother-in-law of Bernice Noble of Palmerston the late Lawrence Noble, the late Mary Johnston and Bill Johnston of Listowel, the late Thomas Walker and Marg Long and the late Donald Long. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 1 to 4 p.m. Private family Service with interment Palmerston Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
