Hazel Emily Elgie
of Arthur passed away peacefully at Caressant Care, Arthur on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late George Elgie (2004) for 59 years. Cherished mom of Eleanor Monaghan and her husband Dave of Arthur. Loving grandma of Erin and her husband Tom Raso and Keri and her husband Christopher Durocher all of Toronto. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Emma (Reddon) Burrough, two sisters Bess and Doris, as well as by two brothers Ashford and Walter.
The family will receive friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. Rev. Ed Charlton will conduct the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Groves Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
