Jean Schneider (nee Wideman)

of Palmerston passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Floyd Burton Schneider (2002). Born in Stouffville on July 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Susannah Wideman. Cherished mother of John (Linda) Schneider of Palmerston, Carol (Ivan) Franck of Qingdao, China, Sharon Schneider of Guelph, and Ruth (Mitch) Rabak of Kitchener. Dearly loved grandmother of Marika Schneider (friend Zakhar) and Erinn Schneider; Jonathan (Victoria) Franck, Jordan Franck (friend Rebecca), Kaelynne (IJ) Makan, Kathryn (John) Pfaeffli; David (Katelyn) Rabak, and Alexander Rabak. Predeceased recently by infant great grandson Kazingram Makan. Survived by sister Grace Brethour, brothers Carl Wideman and Stewart (Barbara) Wideman all of Stouffville. Predeceased by siblings Lloyd (Evelyn) Wideman, Edna (Gordon) Brown, Grant (Darlene) Wideman, and in-laws Mervyn Brethour, Earla Wideman, and Elroy (Phyllis) Schneider.

The family will receive friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston, on Friday, August 17 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The service to celebrate Jean’s life and faith will be held at the Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church, 550 Prospect St., Palmerston on Saturday, August 18 at 2:00 pm. Visitation prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 pm. Interment Bethesda Cemetery, Moorefield.
